tedTed has a unique insight into the inner workings of the racing industry, having started from ground up, with stints around the world in Australia, Hong Kong, India and the USA. Previous to founding Voute Sales, Ted was Manager for Adstock Manor Stud, Littleton Stud and Fair Winter Farm, as well as taking the role as Racing Manager for W and R Barnett Ltd. Other significant positions Ted has held include TBA council member, Code of Practice committee member, National Stud Bloodstock Adviser and a Director of the Never Say Die Club.

Founded in 1986, Voute Sales Ltd has become one of Europe’s leading consignments, breaking records along the way with the likes of Ramruma becoming the most expensive broodmare sold in Europe at the time of sale. Voute Sales has sold a staggering 114 Stakes winners across both sides of the pond, 21 of which are individual Group 1 winners.

Ted has enjoyed much success with his current role as Racing Advisor to Prince A A Faisal, including with G2 winner OCOVANGO G1 Dewhurst winner BELARDO and French 2000 Guineas winner MAKE BELIEVE.

Ted’s 100 acre operation in Stratford-upon-Avon was expanded in 2009 when he took on Eydon Hall Farm, a 300 acre stud previously founded by the legendary Gerald Leigh. It is the most prolific breeding land in the country. Gerald bred 8 individual G1 winners at Eydon, including Bosra Sham, Barathea and Markofdistinction. Ted has increased this tally since taking over the stud, with Classic winning Make Believe being raised at Eydon after being purchased as a foal.
